Contrary to previous media reports, the Yankees have no interest in Mark Loretta and haven't talked to him or his agent since October. It looks like the Rockies are the ones that are close to signing the free agent 2nd baseman, according to ESPN's Buster Olney, but according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post, the Rockies may only have "interest" in Mark Loretta, but says he's eyeing the Yankees.
