Elijah Dukes to Nationals?

Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post has an update on the Elijah Dukes trade. According to him, the Nationals are giving up next to nothing, labeled only as "a player to be named later". The Rays' Stan Kasten and the Nationals' Jim Bowden had an offsite meeting, that included Nationals' 1st baseman Dimitri Young, since Young knows both Elijah and his younger brother Delmon.

Though unconfirmed, St. Petersburg Times' Marc Topkin has a rumor that Elijah Dukes could be headed to the Washington Nationals.

It's not known who Washington is sending to Tampa Bay, but we'll keep you posted....
