Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers have pulled out of the bidding for Eric Gagne. It's reported he'll either take a 2-year deal elsewhere or accept arbitration from the Red Sox.

According to T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com, it looks like the Rangers will try to bring Eric Gagne back to Texas to be their closer again next season....and probably end up trading him again before the deadline.
