With the recent contracts signed by Barry Zito (7-years, $126M) and Johan Santana (6-years, $137.5M), the Cleveland Indians may need to get creative to be able to keep 2007 AL Cy Young Award Winner C.C. Sabathia.
The Indians already have a 4-year extension on the table that could be worth, on average, between $17M - $18M a year but Sabathia's agents at Legacy Sports have sat on the offer since it was made in December.
