According to a report on XX Sports Radio in San Diego, while Steve Finley and his wife were holding a function at their home for California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Finley received a phone call from Padres' GM Kevin Towers.
It's not known what the actual conversation was about, but maybe the Padres are interested in bringing him in on a minor league deal? They don't exactly have left and right fields determined yet.
