The San Diego Padres continue to add depth to their pitching staff with just 9 days until pitchers and catchers report to camp on February 14th.
The Padres claimed right-hander Enrique Gonzalez off waivers from the Washington Nationals. The Nationals had claimed Gonzalez off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks back in September. Gonzalez finished the 2007 season in Triple-A Tucson with an 8-10 record and a 5.14 ERA in 27 starts.
