Did anyone see this coming? The Kansas City Royals have signed free agent catcher Miguel Olivo to a 1-year deal with a mutual option for 2009.
There was ZERO talk about the Royals even being interested in Olivo after being non-tendered by the Marlins. I'm curious if signing Olivo will force current backstop John Buck to step up and grab the starting job and run with it.
